Resistance Bands: how and why to use them in your exercise routine

We’re a little over a month into the new year and now is the time our dedication to our new year’s resolutions begins to wane. If one of your goals for the new year was to work on your strength, add variety to your existing fitness routine, or rehabilitate an injury resistance bands might be just the thing to keep you on top of your 2020 goals!

Resistance bands are one of the most often recommended items by our providers because they’re simple, versatile, and easy-to-use. They allow you take your workout wherever you go, and they’re great for injury rehabilitation because resistance band exercises are easy to modify as needed, moderating the difficulty level as you build strength. In addition, resistance bands are an affordable one-stop solution for a full-body workout. They don't put the same sort of pressure on your joints that external weights do, making them great for anyone with sensitive joints or joint conditions. They're also great for targeting smaller stabilizing muscles that can be difficult to work with other types of exercises.
