Equilibrium in Action: The Pongo Fund
For the months of November and December, Equilibrium will be collecting donations of high quality pet food for The Pongo Fund
The Pongo Fund is a volunteer-driven, 501c3 non-profit Pet Food Bank that provides meals for vulnerable members of our community.
Pongo has served over 34 million meals to more than 210,000 pets of people experiencing homelessness, veterans, disabled individuals, seniors, survivors of domestic violence, and the unemployed or underemployed.
By providing supplemental pet food assistance, The Pongo Fund aims to help pets stay with their families and out of shelters that are already working with limited resources.
Pongo collects both dog and cat foods, wet or dry varieties, and distributes the food from their facility in Southeast Portland, as well as in conjunction with Meals on Wheels food deliveries.
Please DO NOT donate any prescription foods or medications. No opened or expired foods or fresh/refrigerated foods. At this time, Pongo is also not accepting donations of collars, leashes or bedding (such as blankets or towels). Pongo asks that donations be of high quality items to respect the dignity and foster the health of the recipients.
Bring your donations to your next appointment and at the end of December we will deliver everything to The Pongo Fund.
