A new year brings us many things: remembrance of the past year, a fresh start, growth and rebirth.

The Romans derived the name for the month of January from their god Janus, who had two faces, one looking backward and the other looking forward. As we consider this historical nugget, we’d like to highlight some of the past and future here at Equilibrium.

2023 saw the departure of long-time staff members, LMT Sam Whyte, Chiropractic Doctor Cydney Keller and office manager Rabekah. We wish them the utmost success in their future endeavors. If you’re in need of some delicious treats, or you just miss seeing Sam’s face, check out Luna's Ice Cream in Milwaukie.

Dr Suzanne Chi, LAc, also left us at the end of 2023 to pursue her passions for animal acupuncture, beginning the process of starting her own animal acupuncture practice, The Animal Acu
and teaching orthopedic acupuncture to students at The National University of Natural Medicine. At NUNM Suzanne will be working on collaborative pain-management programs with the Naturopathic Doctors, creating new opportunities that weren't yet available when she was in school. You might say she'll be working to improve the future of acupuncture education!

2024 brings us the addition of Christopher Babb, LMT!

Christopher joined us in December. He brings over a decade and a half of experience in massage therapy. His areas of expertise include: Gua Sha, Cranial Sacral, and deep tissue massage.
Christopher has appointments available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and is a welcome addition to our skilled LMT team, Jenna, Aaron, and Brittney!

Our long-term team member and woman of many talents, Sasha is now a fully licensed and board certified Doctor of Chiropractic! 
Sasha is in the process of credentialing with several major insurance providers and will be scheduling chiropractic appointments Tuesday through Friday starting mid-January.
