We don’t need to tell you about the Oregon wildfires in 2020. You saw the news, you smelled the smoke, you checked the evacuation zones. All of us at Equilibrium fervently hope that you and your loved ones are all safe and well.
So many people are displaced and some will go home to damaged structures and burned land. This on top of the side-effects of the COVID-19 pandemic that is already posing challenges for Oregon families and businesses.
These kinds of disasters call us to reach out to our communities and give what we can. We know many communities and families are hurting right now in so many ways, and we want to do what we can to help.
This month we’re collecting material donations for Multnomah County’s Office of Emergency Management. These items are needed for wildfire and smoke relief efforts as well as the on-going COVID-19 response work:
Blankets
Tarps
Water and Gatorade/sports drinks (gallons and 20 oz. bottles)
Sleeping bags
Tents
Hygiene products
Socks
Hydration/electrolyte packets
Baby wipes
Feminine hygiene products
Depends/adult incontinence products
First aid kits
Cloth masks
These items can be brand new or gently used and freshly cleaned. Please join us in this outreach by bringing these items to your next appointment, or call us to schedule a time to drop them off.
